The official trailer of the spy thriller Pathaan was unveiled by Yash Raj Films on Tuesday. The movie features Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham in the lead roles. The over two-minute-long trailer begins with John Abraham-led terrorist outfit announcing an attack on India. Shah Rukh Khan is seen as a soldier who has a mission to take down John. Deepika Padukone, also a soldier, joins Shah Rukh in his mission.

In the action-packed trailer, Shah Rukh is seen as a daredevil. The story moves to various international sites where Shah Rukh chases John Abraham. Throughout the trailer, Deepika has moments where she gets to try her handslick action. After watching the trailer, the internet is convinced that not only John but Deepika is also the 'bad guy' in the film.

Pathaan will release on January 25 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. Actor Salman Khan will make a cameo appearance in the film, helmed by Siddharth Anand. The film also stars Dimple Kapadia and Ashutosh Rana among others. Pathaan marks Deepika and Shah Rukh's fourth collaboration after Om Shanti Om, Happy New Year, and Chennai Express.

Shah Rukh will also be seen in director Atlee's upcoming action thriller film Jawan with Nayanthara and Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki with Taapsee Pannu. Deepika, on the other hand, will be next seen in The Intern remake; Project K alongside Prabhas, and in Siddharth's Fighter opposite Hrithik Roshan.
