Akshay Kumar takes style cues from son Aarav for his next, after the latter is spotted wearing mismatched shoes
Bollywood stars are known to spark fashion fads. But it looks like, this time, a star is taking cues rather than setting a trend. Akshay Kumar and his 10-year-old son Aarav were spotted leaving Mumbai airport on Tuesday (July 30). However, what got everyone talking were the mismatched shoes that Aarav was seen sporting — black on one foot, blue on the other.
Did the boy get his shoes mixed up inadvertently? Apparently not. Aarav had travelled to Bangkok, Thailand, with his father, where the latter was shooting for his upcoming film, It’s Entertainment. According to an insider, “Aarav bought three-four pairs of shoes from Bangkok. But Akshay had no idea that he is going to wear them mismatched.”
The actor, in fact, is believed to have taken a strong liking to his son’s style statement. And now, he too plans to go the mismatched way. “Akshay is impressed with the style, and is already planning to emulate it (wear different shoes) in his upcoming film, Gabbar (co-starring Shruti Haasan),” the insider adds. Earlier, Akshay himself had got people talking, when he wore custom-made spiked, golden Christian Louboutin shoes in Khiladi 786 (2012). He’d even worn the shoes to some promotional events at the time.
The insider also informs that the film (Gabbar) will go on the floors next year. “It’s too early to talk about specific details, but Akshay definitely plans to incorporate Aarav’s idea in the film. He feels that today’s kids think differently, and there’s no way he can think on the same lines.”
Despite repeated attempts, Akshay could not be reached for a comment.
