Hollywood heartthrob Colin Farell has split from girlfriend, model Alicja Bachleda, a year after they welcomed a son together.
The 34-year-old actor decided to end the relationship as he did not want to be "tied down" to anyone, reported Star magazine online.
The Miami Vice actor decided to pull the plug on the relationship after Bachelda, who is the mother of his son Henry Tadeusz Farrell, asked him to marry her.
"She realized that Colin is never going to marry her. He cares for Alicja and the baby but he wants to be a free spirit," said a source close to the former couple.
And Farrell has not wasted any time in moving on and was recently spotted partying in New York with 27-year-old British supermodel Agyness Deyn.
Farrell and Bachleda began dating in 2009. They welcomed their first child together on October 7, 2009.
The actor also has a 7-year-old son named James Padraig from his past relationship with model Kim Bordenave.
