Don’t want to clarify any speculations: Priyanka

A lot has been written about Priyanka Chopra’s on and off relationship with Shahid Kapoor after she confirmed that her colleague and ‘good friend’ was present in her house during a recent IT raid. However, Priyanka refuses to speak any further about her equation with Shahid.
“I don’t want to clarify any speculations,” she says. “If I put an end to one rumour, another one is raked up. It makes no sense to continuously keep answering people whom I’m not answerable to. I have never spoken about my personal life and equations and I choose to maintain that throughout my life.”
It’s said that Shahid and Priyanka had a spat over Kareena Kapoor and Vidya Balan being on his birthday party guest list, following which Priyanka spent the weekend away in the US with her family while he celebrated his birthday with friends and family at his Mumbai residence. News soon followed that Shahid was reportedly making efforts to get back into Priyanka’s good books.
It’s also learnt that since Shahid’s Heer-Ranjha opposite Deepika Padukone didn’t look like it would go on the floors anytime soon, he wanted Deepika to replace Priyanka in Kunal Kohli’s romantic film, Janam Janam Ka Saath Hai Hamara Tumhara. “Whoever told you that I’m not doing it?” asks Priyanka. “Of course I’m working on Kunal’s film. It’s one of the five projects that I’ll be working on this year. The title in circulation is only the working title. It will be renamed if the producers feel the need to do so. The rest is speculation so I refuse to speak anything about it because such things die down naturally.”
