Ex-dacoit's reality TV dream ends

The Allahabad High Court has rejected a petition filed by former dacoit Seema Parihar seeking exemption from personal appearance in a lower court for a few months to participate in upcoming season of Bigg Boss.

The Allahabad High Court has rejected a petition filed by former dacoit Seema Parihar seeking exemption from personal appearance in a lower court for a few months to participate in upcoming season of Bigg Boss.

A division bench comprising Justices Amar Saran and Surinder Singh, while rejecting Parihar's petition yesterday, told her that she could move an application in this regard before the Chief Judicial Magistrate's court in Auraiya district from where she had secured bail in a case relating to murder and kidnapping.

Parihar had moved the court with the submission that she wanted to take part in the upcoming TV show Bigg Boss 4 for

which she is required to be in Mumbai from October 1, 2010 to January 10, 2011.

Parihar had also submitted that though out on bail, she has been directed by the CJM that she will have to appear before the court in the first week of every month.

To take part in the show, she is required to be in Mumbai for 100 days on the trot.

The High Court, while rejecting her petition, said she might move an application before the CJM's court from where she had been granted bail.
