Farhan Akhtar plans a 'peaceful' birthday bash for dad
The actor-filmmaker has zeroed in on his Lonavala farmhouse as the venue for the celebration.
Farhan Akhtar, who turned 41 on January 9, celebrated his birthday at his cousin, director Farah Khan’s party (he shares his birthday with Farah).
But the actor-filmmaker is set to host another birthday bash. Farhan is planning a close-knit celebration on January 17 for his father, Javed Akhtar’s (writer-lyricist) 70th birthday.
A source close to the actor reveals, “Farhan is organising a special get-together. He has planned a lunch on Javed saab’s birthday at his Lonavala farmhouse, Sukkoon. It is a beautiful place away from the city. In fact, Farhan had celebrated his 40th birthday there.”
According to the source, some of the people who will be part of the celebration include Akhtar’s wife Shabana Azmi, Tanvi Azmi, Zoya Akhtar, Audhuna Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani with his wife, and Reema Kagti, among others.
“Farhan wants to keep it a private event, so one will not see a lot of industry people in attendance. Special arrangements have been made for the guests, and Farhan has been overlooking all the preparations,” says the source.
When contacted, Farhan confirmed the news.
