For Katrina, diamonds are not forever, Rekha is

Katrina Kaif has scoffed at rumours that suggested producer Siddharth Roy Kapur had to gift her a diamond necklace to persuade her to star opposite his brother Aditya Roy Kapoor. "It's a ridiculous implication. I am looking forward to the film with Aditya; not to mention the honour of sharing the frame with the indomitable Rekha," Katrina says.

A few days back, rumours about Katrina Kaif being presented with a diamond necklace for signing a film were doing the rounds. Word was, Siddharth Roy Kapur was the producer in question, who wanted her to star opposite his brother, Aditya Roy Kapur.

“The producer was keen on signing her for this film and he knew Katrina loves diamonds. So, while the money bit was being negotiated, he gifted her a diamond-studded necklace. She initially refused, but finally accepted it out of politeness,” a source claims.

But Katrina rubbishes the claims, saying, “I have not needed persuasion of any sort to agree to be a part of any film till date. The sheer implication that I had to be bribed to be part of a film is ridiculous. Abhishek (Kapoor, filmmaker) has a fantastic script, and I am looking forward to filming it with Aditya; not to mention the honour of sharing the frame with the inimitable Rekh," a.”
