When she was spotted with prescription pills during a night out with pals in November last year, it sparked initial concerns about her life, but now her old friends are spilling out her drug-use stories, reports hollywood.com.
Amanda Alexander, the sister of Spears' first husband Jason, said the singer's drug use dates back to 2003.
She said: "When I was around her, she took Ecstasy."
She also revealed that she saw Spears using cocaine during a night out in her hometown Kentwood, Louisiana.
Kent Smith, another close friend who has known Spears for at least 10 years, said: "She does like to party... I've been there when she's done Ecstasy and cocaine."
