Narrating the exchange, museum chairperson Ruchira Ghosh added that Michelle Obama came across a figurine at the bhoota (ritual art from Karnataka) gallery and said it reminded her of her husband.

"A blue figure at the top of the citadel with ears sticking out from behind its head reminded the first lady of President Barack Obama," Ghosh said.

"The figure looks like Barack," the first lady was quoted as saying with a laugh.

The first lady interacted with a group of 14 underprivileged girls and students at the museum as part of a social initiative exchange.
