Actor Imran Khan’s pursuit of filing a PIL against the raising of the drinking age limit to 25 in Maharashtra has taken a new turn. The actor had announced his intention to do so in June, but the matter took a backseat as there was some uncertainty about whether he could, as a US citizen, file a PIL in India. “I am waiting to get the final paperwork from my lawyers. There was doubt that I, being a US citizen, won’t be able to do it. Now, I think I will be able to do it. I am waiting till I get an exact confirmation on that.”
