Who will be the leading lady in pro ducer Boney Kapoor’s next project — Jiah Khan or Asin from the South? Well, the scale seems to be tilted towards Jiah. She is expected to play the heroine in Kapoor’s next film, which is being directed by Prabhu Deva.

The untitled film has Salman Khan in the lead. Initially, Kapoor was toying with the idea of casting a new name opposite Khan. He later changed his mind and zeroed in on Asin, the Tamil actress. But apparently Khan wasn’t too keen and suggested Jiah’s name.

A source close to Kapoor says, “Boneyji met Jiah a few times and discussed a new look for her in the movie. The look test is scheduled once she’s back from London.”

But Jiah Khan remained noncommittal and replied via a text message saying, “Not true. I’m in London.”

Another factor that went in favour of Jiah was Asin’s commitment to Aamir Khan’s next project, a remake of Ghajini, and also her ongoing negotiations with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra for Delhi 6.

Kapoor’s film is a remake of Telugu blockbuster Pokiri. Salman Khan will play the role of an undercover police officer.
