Filmmaker Karan Johar has been named the goodwill ambassador of VisitBritain, UK’s national tourism agency.

Filmmaker Karan Johar has been named the goodwill ambassador of VisitBritain, UK’s national tourism agency. Johar, who shot his first two films, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham in the UK, is the face of a 100 million pound programme aimed to attract visitors from all over the world to the country.

“Britain has a certain soul that film cannot capture; you have to be there to experience it. What I appreciate the most is the importance, respect, and attention given to the arts,” Johar was quoted as saying.
