Bollywood actor Katrina Kaif beat superstars and starlets to become the ‘Newsmaker of the year’ in Yahoo! India’s 2010 annual survey, which identifies the top online trends of the year. Besides Kat, the third edition of the Indian Premier League was the most followed event of the year, while cricket superstar Sachin Tendulkar emerged the leading cricket icon of 2010.
