The 30-year-old, who has three-year-old daughter Suri with Cruise, is desperate to get an inking to prove her devotion to him, but he is unsure whether to allow for the needle work, reports

"He's desperately trying to talk her out of getting the tattoo," said a source.

Holmes came up with the idea after seeing the etching her friend Victoria Beckham had to mark her 10th wedding anniversary with soccer ace David earlier this year.

Victoria had the Hebrew words for Together, Forever, Eternally inked on her wrist in honour of her husband and Holmes is determined to get a similar inscription.
