She is the leading lady of B-town today. She is the most searched woman on the Internet. She is Salman's girl. She has 5 sisters and one brother. Well, one should think that we know Katrina Kaif. But not quite, she has been lying about her origin.

Katrina 'Kaif' has been lying about her surname. She is in fact 'Katrina Turquotte'! So one wonders if all that talk about having Kashmiri origin is nothing but faff. Ayesha Shroff, Jackie Shroff's wife has spilled the beans in a recent interview.

Ayesha introduced Katrina to the world of Bollywood. Her debut was the much forgettable film Boom, during the filming of which Kat's surname was changed. Reason being that it was too complicated to pronounce. And Katrina gave her nod on this too.

There is no reason to doubt this revelation as passport says 'Katrina Turquotte'.

Bollywood has a history of superstars acquiring saleable screen names. What beats us is why hide it! This only Kat can clarify.
