Socialite Kim Kardashian is reading philosophical works to impress her boyfriend Kanye West. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star has been getting to grips with 19th Century philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche whom her husband admires, reports Contactmusic.

"Kim is desperate to show Kanye she is not some kind of bimbo, so she is reading up on Nietzsche as Kanye says he is a huge inspiration of his," a source said.

The 31-year-old star is also staying up to date with current affairs in order to seem more knowledgeable to her new rapper beau. "She is making sure she reads the papers and the news every day and has downloaded the CNN app on her phone to keep up to the minute," the source added.
