Pop diva Madonna's toyboy lover Jesus Luz has bagged a major record deal, all thanks to the star's hold in the music industry.
The 23-year-old Brazilian has signed a two-single deal with Warner Bros, the firm Madonna left last year, reported
Sun
online.
"Madonna was determined to give Jesus all the help she can. She holds a lot of sway at Warners, where she had a deal until very recently. But getting him on the books wasn't completely plain-sailing," said a source.
In order to get executives to sign up Luz, she relented and her classic hits
Vogue
and
Like A Prayer
have been licensed for a major advertising campaign Stateside.
"There was a little give and take between her and execs, but a compromise was eventually settled upon," said the source.
The 51-year-old singer has been covering all of Luz's expenses, including his hefty studio costs and she has called old pal legendary remixer Victor Calderone to work on her beau's tracks.
"She's worked with Victor for a very long time and he understands just what she likes. Having him rejig Jesus's tracks will give them a cool cachet which is essential to building a clubland buzz," the source added.
