, was in the Steel City to take part at a promotional event near Jubilee Park in Bistupur. In the absence of adequate security, the 37-year-old actor could not even run away from the spot as those participating in the ‘green run’ misbehaved with the actor, the police said.

A few media photographers and an official of Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) rushed to Mahima’s rescue and asked a traffic police inspector to intervene. “I have neither seen her before, nor knew who she is, but I carried her on my motorcycle after being informed about the incident,” Singh said.

After her films bombed at the box-office, Mahima, who made her debut in 1997, is hardly seen on the silver screen these days.
