The 16-year-old Miley Cyrus has hit back at people questioning the parameters of her relationship with her celebrity father Billy Ray Cyrus.

The 16-year-old had raised many questions after posing with her father for a Vanity Fair magazine last year, where she was snapped reclining against her dad while he rest an arm around her shoulder.

The Hannah Montana actress, in her new memoir Miles To Go, hammered criticism around the photos, insisting her close bond with her father was not up for speculation.

"The media has said some stuff about my dad and me being too close and too cuddly for a father and a daughter. For me and my dad it''s not weird at all,” the Daily Star quoted her as saying.

"We don''t let other people tell us what expressions we''re supposed to have on our faces when we take a picture together!" she added.
