MTV anchor Raghu faces ABVP ire

MTV Roadies anchor Raghu Ram faced the ire of Akhil Bharatiya Vidhyarthi Parishad activists who blackened his face during a promotional visit in Pune. The protest was organised to condemn the "obscene language" being used by Raghu on TV.

Popular MTV show anchor Raghu Ram on Friday faced the ire of Akhil Bharatiya Vidhyarthi Parishad (ABVP) activists who blackened his face during a promotional visit in Pune.



Raghu, along with co-anchors of MTV Roadies Rajiv and Rannvijay, was targeted by a group of 15 odd ABVP activists including five girls when he was participating in a street rally on Friday evening, ABVP spokesperson Shailendra Dalvi said.



The protest was organised to condemn the "obscene language" being used by Raghu during the TV programme which was not in keeping with the Indian culture, Dalvi told PTI.

No complaint has been filed with the police in connection with the incident.
