Madonna reveals that people predicted ‘I might not make it’ during her health scare in June

Currently, Madonna is on her much-awaited Celebration tour which she was forced to postpone for three months due to her health issues.

Madonna has provided insights to her fans about the life threatening health scare that she suffered in June.On Sunday, October 22, the pop superstar recalled the dark phase during her show in Antwerp, Belgium. "Less than four months ago, I was in a hospital, and I was unconscious, and people thinking – predicting — that I might not make it,” said Madonna.

“It’s a f–king miracle that I’m here right now,” she added.

While recalling her ultra scary health experience, Madonna empathised with her mother who had died in 1963 due to breast cancer.

"My mother, God bless her. She must be watching over me. She said, ‘Girl, it’s not your time to go,'” said Madonna.

“I suddenly had sympathy and empathy for my mother, not about the dying part, but how lonely she must have felt laying in [the] hospital, knowing that she wasn’t going to live, and I was given another chance,” said Madonna.

Madonna's health scare in June

In June, Madonna was intubated at a New York hospital after suffering a life-threatening bacterial infection. She had spent days on a ventilator during the health scare. According to a report by RadarOnline.com, the star singer was allegedly revived with Narcan before being admitted to the ICU.

Madonna's manager, Guy Oseary had updated about her health issue to her fans through an Instagram post. He had posted, "On Saturday June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which lead to a several day stay in the ICU."

Meanwhile, during her ongoing Celebration Tour, she will be performing concerts and shows in North America and Europe.
