Actor-turned-producer Dia Mirza says she is not tying the knot with beau Sahil Sangha anytime soon. There’s also a lot of talk about the cheetah cubs she recently adopted.
Dia Mirza, 30, who was in the Capital recently, declines rumours that she’s taking the nuptial plunge with boyfriend Sahil Sangha later this year.
“Sahil and I are not getting married anytime soon. Nothing much has been discussed about it between us yet, and we will talk about it mutually and then decide,” she says.
There’s also a lot of talk about the cheetah cubs she recently adopted. “I adopted these cubs when I got a call from the zoo saying that they had a cheetah from Mirzapur in Uttar Pradesh, and so decided to call her Dia Mirza. The cheetah had given birth to two baby cheetahs, and I was asked if I would like to adopt them. I said why not!” The cubs are not living with her, but she is “funding their care.”
On being asked about her upcoming film, she says, “It’s a Bangla film due to release during Durga Puja. This project very close to my heart as my mother-tongue is Bengali. Bengali works have gained recognition internationally. It is the intellect, the culture, the intelligence and the love for the craft that I absolutely love,” says Mirza, who was here to launch a new range of Body Shop products.
