Dissatisfied with payment procedures on the internet? Now, get yourself a personal assitant of sorts to take over your work at your doorstep. Chaitanya Sinha, managing director of A La Concierge, has been catering to the needs of business conglomerates and agencies for about five years, when it comes to getting simple, but time-consuming tasks outsourced.
Soon enough (second week of December, his company will extend the reach of their concierge services to individuals. “Our tagline basically is as long as it’s not illegal or immortal, we’ll do it,” says the entrepreneur, who is readying Home Seva, which will be launched later next month. “We will reach all of Mumbai soon.”
As part of this new service, all those who don’t have the time to visit banks, stand in queue for passports, make travel bookings, buy movie, theatre or concert tickets, pay credit card bills, loans payments among a gamut of other tiresome chores, can become members.
For Rs 5,000 per month, a personalised relationship manager will be at your beck and call and for Rs 900 you will be able to order the tasks you need done via email or phone. Within that one month, these services can be used unlimited times for six days a week.
Beyond what is mentioned on their website, Sinh informs that there are many other specialty services that customers call in for. “We can’t promise to deliver everything, but we do try to deliver if a demand is made,” he says, adding that some of the most bizarre requests they’ve received so far includes arranging an elephant for a child’s birthday and accompanying an elderly couple to Switzerland for medical treatment. “But we are not a courier company,” he insists.
