'Don't want my daughter to do things I did', Kylie Jenner urges Kardashian clan to rethink beauty standards
Kardashian family has always been in the limelight for their beauty standards, but it looks like one member of the famous is ready to challenge the status quo
The Kardashian family has always been at the forefront of setting beauty standards, but now, Kylie Jenner is urging her family to have a “bigger conversation” about the impact of their actions. In a new trailer for season three of Hulu’s The Kardashians, Kylie can be seen speaking with her sisters and mother, Kris Jenner, about the beauty standards they are setting.

“I don’t want my daughter to do the things I did,” Kylie says, referring to her own experiences with cosmetic procedures. “All of us just need to have a bigger conversation about the beauty standards that we’re setting.”
Kylie, who has previously faced criticism for promoting unattainable beauty standards, continued: “I wished I never touched anything to begin with.”
The Kardashian family has a range of beauty and fashion brands between them, and in 2021, Allure magazine published an article titled: “The Kardashians have changed the way we see beauty.” However, last year, Kendall, Kourtney, and Kim denied claims that they “promote unattainable beauty standards.”
Kylie’s lip kits went viral when they launched in 2015, with consumers buying them to achieve her signature overdrawn lip technique. In the same year, the #kyliejennerlipchallenge went viral after people tried using suction devices to enlarge their lips. Kylie herself has admitted to having temporary lip fillers, which she started getting as a teenager due to insecurities about her “small lips.”
It remains to be seen whether the Kardashian family will take Kylie’s words to heart and reassess the beauty standards they are setting for their millions of fans.
