Oscar winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow has sparked rumours that there is trouble brewing with her marriage as she goes to Los Angeles from Britain without her husband Chris Martin.

The Coldplay lead singer Martin and Paltrow live in Britain with their children. Paltrow is filming the "Iron Man" sequel and recently had dinner with her close friend pop star Madonna in New York.

A mutual friend said: "Gwyneth told Madonna she's planning to stay in America for six months. Madonna's delighted. Since she moved back to New York, Madonna has been working on getting Gwyneth to leave the UK for good."
