Pataudi’s funeral a family affair

The funeral of former Indian cricket captain and the last Nawab of Pataudi state, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, was held at the family’s burial ground at Pataudi, 26 km from Gurgaon city, on Friday afternoon.

He died of a lung infection on Thursday, The funeral was a family affair.

Among those present were Sharmila Tagore, son Saif Ali Khan, daughters Soha and Saba, and Saif’s girlfriend, actor Kareena Kapoor.

"I would just like to thank everyone for their very kind wishes. I would also say that he would have been very touched by the support and the wonderful things that the media has said. And I would like to thank all his contemporaries and fellow cricketers, who have written such beautiful things in the papers," said Saif Ali Khan.
