Bonny's work
She is a fashion photographer by profession. But, Bonny Hazuria, is currently involved in art photography, her new-found passion. Hazuria's latest exhibition, Between Heaven and Earth, which opened yesterday at the India Habitat Centre, showcases what she calls painted photographs. "These are a mix of digital medium and colours. I first click the pictures and then give it a new dimension by adding textures, paintings and other digital mediums," says Hazuria, who is also a trained painter. Her latest works also feature Delhi faces such as designer Malini Ramani and entreprenuer Sabrina Lall.

Malini Ramani, Delhi-based fashion designer
I shot Malini in 2007, and after a year, I started the painting. Malini is very chic and usually dresses up in colourful outfits. But in my artwork, I have used neutral colours, giving her a very white and angelic look.

Sushma Seth, actor
I always wanted to do a shoot with Sushma Seth. She is a very stylish and graceful lady. We did the shoot last year, and after that I took two months to get the final output. To give this shoot a painted look, I worked on it with colours, the same way a painting is done.

This one is a part of a series based on my work on Prague. It's a rooftop shoot and I have used very strong brush strokes. Prague's history is an epic in itself. The old buildings are very beautiful and dreamlike - it's like a fairyland.
