Abhishek KapoorAbhishek Kapoor started his career as an actor with Uff! Yeh Mohabbat in 1997, but was not able to make his mark. Not willing to call it quits, Abhishek turned director with the Sohail Khan-starrer Aryan, which didn’t do well. Undeterred, Abhishek directed and wrote the screenplay for Rock On!! in 2008. The film brought him recognition and also a National Award. Now, he’s looking forward to his next film – based on Chetan Bhagat’s The 3 Mistakes Of My Life.

What would you do if Superman paid you a visit?
Tell him to pack his cape and just chill, probably take him for a spin in my batmobile. He’d love that.

Your typical Sunday?
Wake up early, hit the pool and then maybe catch a film. Take it nice and easy.

If you were stranded on a desert island and could keep five things with you, what would you choose?
Flip-flops, iPod, suntan lotion, shades and my cycle.

You’re sentimental about?
My first film Aryan.

If you could go back in time, which period of history would you go back to and why?
To the ’70s of course... flower power baby!

The craziest rumour you have heard about yourself?
About Madhuri Dixit and me. Or was it a figment of my imagination?

The turning point of your life?
It has to be Rock On!!

What drives you up the wall?
People who are late and don’t respect other people’s time.

What do you do in a crisis?
Take a deep breath and regroup.

If you could eat anything and never put on weight?
It would have to be anything that my mother makes.

Three places you love shopping in?
London, Amsterdam, New York.
