He might be happily back with long-term girlfriend Chelsy Davy, but Prince Harry has confessed to having a crush on pop singer Cheryl Cole.

The 25-year-old prince made the admission to X Factor winner Joe McElderry at a charity awards ceremony on Monday night, reported Daily Mail online.

"I'm jealous that you got to spend weeks with Cheryl," said Harry.

McElderry worked side by side with Cole while he was a contestant on the X Factor, which the prince found to be an
enviable job.

"Harry made it clear that Cheryl definitely has the royal seal of approval. It was a highly amusing moment," a
source close to McElderry.

Harry and Davy were guests of judge Simon Cowell at the final on Saturday night were seen happily flaunting their
rekindled romance in front of the viewers.

The couple, who have been dating on and off for more than five years now, are to go on an exotic holiday as soon as
the Royal Family's Christmas celebrations are over.
