The Supreme Court on Friday set October 14 as the final hearing date for Bollywood actor Salman Khan in connection with the blackbuck poaching case.

Salman had earlier on August 27 filed an affidavit in the apex court and made an appeal for a stay on his conviction in the poaching case.

A complaint was filed against Salman and actors Saif Ali Khan, Neelam, Tabu and Sonali Bendre in connection with the hunting of protected blackbucks.

The actors were accused of poaching two blackbucks in Kankani village near Jodhpur in October 1998.

The blackbuck shooting case dates back to 1998 during the shooting of the film Hum Saath Saath Hain.
