One of the leading restaurateurs and party regulars in the city, Shiv Karan Singh, 38, is all set to get hitched. The co-owner of hot city hangouts such as the Smoke House Grill and Mocha went down on his knees — quite literally — and popped the big question to his ladylove, film actor Reema Sen, 29, on Wednesday night.

“Reema and I know each other for over two years, through my best friend Riyaz. We have become very close, and I thought it was time to take the big step and ask for her hand in marriage... I was very nervous, and Reema was surprised. But, she said ‘yes’ and I put the ring on her finger,” says Singh. “Hopefully, we’ll tie the knot by the end of the year,” he adds.

“I wish them all the best,” says Thenny Mejia, a friend.

Sen has acted in hit south movies, such as Minnale and Thimiru, and the Hindi film, Hum Ho Gaye Aap Ke.
