Playback singer Sonu Niigaam has put on hold his album, which he was supposed to compose with an American composer, as he wants to be with his mother Shobha who has been diagnosed with cancer.

“Unfortunately my mother was diagnosed with the fourth stage of cancer in December (last year). I realised that maybe this is God’s wish that I should be in India and not in the US until my mother is fine. I don’t want to miss out on these days of her ailment,” Sonu said.
