Pony Verma shares rare picture with Prakash Raj on their 16th wedding anniversary: ‘My love, an infinity to go’
Actor Prakash Raj and his choreographer wife Pony Verma rarely post anything personal on their social media. The couple married 16 years ago today.
It has been 16 years since actor Prakash Raj and choreographer Pony Verma made their relationship official. On their wedding anniversary, Pony surprised fans by posting a rare photo of herself with Prakash, calling him her love. She also wrote that she hoped to spend eternity with him.

Pony posted a picture of herself and Prakash on her Instagram on Monday. The picture shows the couple seated with their back to the camera. They sit on a rock overlooking the mountains, soaking in the view. “16 done (heart emojis) and an Infinity to go….” wrote Pony, adding, “#happyanniversarymylove @joinprakashraj (evil eye emojis).” Prakash re-shared the picture on his Instagram Stories without adding anything to it.
“Hugs,” commented filmmaker Nandini Reddy on the post with hug emojis. Actors Shweta Menon, Pragathi, and others commented with heart emojis. Actor Bhavna Pani wrote, “Congratulations to one of the coolest couples I know. Love you Pony!!!! God bless the beautiful pair.” Numerous fans wished the couple a happy anniversary, with one of them even commenting, “Happy Anniversary to two people who stand tall with a strong spine, fearless mindset.”
About Prakash Raj and Pony Verma
Prakash married actor Lalitha Kumar in 1994, after which she stepped away from films. They had three children, including two daughters, Meghana and Pooja. Their son, Sidhu, died in 2004 when he was only five after sustaining an injury from a fall. The couple divorced in 2009. Lalitha maintained that they maintain a cordial relationship despite separating after the tragedy.
On August 24, 2010, Prakash married Pony. They met on sets in a professional capacity in 2005 but later became friends. They went from friends to partners, and their son Vedhant was born in 2016. Last year, Pony posted pictures and videos from when she was pregnant and when their son was born to wish him on his 9th birthday. She wrote, “9 MONTHS IN.. 9 MONTHS OUT … and then 9 YEARS TODAY. Happy Birthday Vedhant .. god bless you my child, thank you for coming in my life.”

Pony choreographed O Ri O Sanwariya from Akshay Kumar’s Bhooth Bangla and Thassadiya from Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s Maa Inti Bangaaram this year. Prakash starred in Seetha Payanam, S Saraswathi, Kaalidas 2, Dacoit: A Love Story and Jana Nayagan this year. He has Drishyam 3 in Hindi, G2, Varanasi and other films lined up.
