To use aroma oils for hangover
Aroma oils' usage can be helpful in more ways than one, including the treatment of hangovers, ruling away nausea and headaches. Read on to find out more.
Some of the common oils that can treat hangovers are juniper, bergamot, peppermint, basil, lavender, lemon and rose.
Combine juniper berry and bergamot in equal proportions and add this to a bath tub of warm water. Now soak in this water with your eyes closed for nearly 15 minutes and inhale the vapors deeply. This will help you get rid of a bad hangover.
Mix basil, lavender, peppermint and lemon in equal proportions . Pour a couple of drops of this blend on a tissue & inhale this for about 10 minutes. While basil helps to ease irritability, peppermint fights fatigue, lavender helps in calming the nerves and easing headaches.
Nausea no more
: A cold compress of peppermint or the above blend is also useful in curing nausea and headaches.
Headache go away:
Rose drops along with a carrier oil like sunflower can be applied to the temples for easing headaches. But do not mix essential oils while consuming alcohol. Also, do not use essential oils neat as they are highly concentrated. They should always be added with water or a vegetable oil.
