Never before seen pictures of Marilyn Monroe relaxing on the set of her classic comedy film Some Like It Hot are set to go under the hammer in Las Vegas. The auction is scheduled for June 25 this year.

The sale of 11 coloured snaps from 1959 will take place at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino on June 25 this year, organised by US specialist Julien's Auctions.

"In the slides Marilyn appears to relax between takes on the beach. She is wearing the revealing dress in which her character attempts and succeeds to seduce Curtis's character," The Telegraph quoted Boss Darren Julien as saying.

Other items to be auctioned at the two-day event include an Italian-style carved chair with green velvet upholstery used for Marilyn’s last ever photo shoot.
