Vidya Balan, John Abraham, other celebs say no time for kids
While Vidya is not ready for it, John is not planning a baby any time soon. Moreover, Kareena Kapoor Khan can’t think of that now.

Vidya Balan, married to producer Siddharth Roy Kapur (they tied the knot in 2012), made headlines recently about a rumoured pregnancy. After vehemently denying it, the actor now explains why she isn’t ready just yet. “Not at the moment,” she asserts, when asked about motherhood. Is it because she’s content with her career at the moment? “It’s not about being content, I need to be mentally prepared. It’s a huge responsibility... Till now, my primary priority has been me. Motherhood changes all that. I’m not ready for it yet,” says the actor.
Did the family — husband Siddharth, besides brothers-in-law Aditya Roy Kapur and Kunal Roy Kapur — discuss all the rumours floating around? “We don’t live in the same house, so we don’t chat about it on a regular basis. But when we meet — once a week, for lunch on Sundays — and it comes up, we do laugh about it,” says Vidya, who lives with her husband in Juhu.

Being a celebrity and keeping personal affairs private don’t quite go hand in hand. So, after actor-producer John Abraham married his girlfriend Priya Runchal earlier this year in a low-key ceremony in the USA, rumour now has it that Priya is not in the country because she is pregnant.
We asked the actor if there is any truth to these reports. “No! There’s nothing true about that. We aren’t planning a baby anytime soon. Priya is studying in London. She is a very intelligent girl; it’s only fair that she completes her course (an MBA),” he says, adding, “We shall cross the bridge when it comes.”
Is the couple planning to throw a reception for their industry friends, who’ve reportedly been expecting one? “We haven’t discussed that. We will take that up once she is back,” says John. The two reportedly got hitched secretly in Los Angeles, USA.
