Musician John Mayer has blasted bosses at satellite radio network Sirius/XM, blaming them for leaking inaccurate information about a meeting he had with socialite Kim Kardashian to the media.

It was reported that Mayer, who's been linked to a string of famous women, including Jennifer Aniston and Jessica Simpson, tried his magic on curvaceous Kim while taking a break from sound checking for his acoustic performance on Sirius' Coffee House channel.

"They talked closely for several minutes," a source had told the newspaper. However, Mayer believes that the story was planted by company tell-tales.

In a furious post on his Twitter.com blog, Mayer writes, "I see @kimkardashian at Sirius/XM and say hello like a gentleman and you want to spin a gossip story at my expense? Get lost!"
