Yuvi’s birthday was fun, but not ‘wild’

Cricketer Yuvraj Singh turned 29 on Sunday, but it seems his birthday party, which took place aboard a private yacht anchored at the Gateway of India in Mumbai, wasn’t as ‘wild’ as it was made out to be.

“Tell me, how wild can a party get, in front of a mother?” asks Yuvi’s mom, Shabnam Singh. “I reached there at 8pm, just to be sure of how things are going, because when it comes to my son, things are always overhyped. Yes, there were few girls from other countries, and Yuvraj’s friends smeared the ship-shaped cake on his face and danced, but it was fun — nothing ‘wild’,” she says.

Guests at the do included actors Preity Zinta, Kunal Khemu and Rakshanda Khan, and cricketers Virat Kohli, Ashish Nehra and Parthiv Patel.
