Avoid necklace with a dress that has a slashed neckline.

People with long necks must avoid thin chokers as they give the illusion of elongating the neck even further. They can wear necklaces that dangle and are layered.

People with short necks should wear delicate pieces that hang between the neck and chest. Big pieces should be avoided if they have a double chin too.

Pendants should not drop into the cleavage area.

As a thumb rule, contrast the jewellery to stand out on a plain understated outfit.

Dainty pendants look better on thin and small chains, but a larger, heavier design suits a thicker chain.
