HT India’s Most Stylish 2018: Monochrome looks were the trend of the night

Taapsee Pannu, Vaani Kapoor to Parineeti Chopra and Mira Rajput Kapoor, black and white dresses dominated the red carpet as the A-listers flooded Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai for the seventh annual HT India’s Most Stylish awards on Wednesday.

Just days after all-black celebrity looks at the Golden Globes proved fashion can also be a powerful tool, a similar trend, albeit unintentional, emerged at the seventh annual HT India’s Most Stylish awards at Yash Raj Studios, Mumbai on Wednesday.

The red carpet certainly wasn’t bursting with colour, barring Sonam Kapoor or Kriti Sanon, who shined in yellow. It was most definitely rocking a sartorial monochrome storm with many celebs opting for a more muted colour palette.

Many women, notably, actors Taapsee Pannu and Vaani Kapoor, opted for black. While others, like actors Parineeti Chopra and Shamita Shetty, chose neutral-toned ensembles that oozed femininity and power.
