In a mood to celebrate: Here’s JJ Valaya and Alpana-Neeraj’s Grand Finale collection
Fashion went fun and festive as the five-day runway fiesta came to a close on Sunday.
All of us owe our present, and our future, to our mentors. Taking this thought forward, the Fashion Design Council of India rolled out a gold-laced carpet (keeping the festive mood in mind) for the Grand Finale of Amazon India Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2017. JJ Valaya’s collection, Ranas of Kachchh, came together with designer duo Alpana-Neeraj’s signature design aesthetics to create designs that were a curious mix of opposites. Alpana, who has been Valaya’s student for over five years, said that while creating the varied looks was definitely a challenge, the over-all experience, was unmatched. Before the finale took over, the fashion week also saw a focus on two oft neglected fashion realms: accessories, and, menswear, giving the audience a lot of inspiration to take home. Check out some of the looks we loved, as the fashion week came to a close.
