Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra was recently spotted rocking the punk look in a leather jacket, crop top and psychedelic purple angel-wing shoes. International stars such as singers Justin Bieber, Avril Lavigne, among others have also been a fan of this trend.
“The Scott sneakers are statement pieces and a great style option for young people,” says designer Gaurav Gupta. “Winged sneakers have injected an edgy aesthetic to a simple pair of shoes,” says fashion blogger Santu Mishra.
With cheap imitations available at Sarojini Nagar and Palika Bazaar, young feet in the city, too, are fast taking flight.
