Sonam Kapoor returns from Cannes in this unexpected pantsuit-sneakers combo

Sonam Kapoor Ahuja left Cannes as stylishly as she first arrived. The actor turned a sweet, ladylike pink pantsuit right on its head by layering it over a sheer crop top and accessorising with sneakers.
Sonam Kapoor Ahuja has been nothing short of a sensation at Cannes Film Festival 2018. The Veere Di Wedding actor got off to a running start upon her arrival in Cannes on Monday in a monochrome polka-dot Mother of Pearl dress, accented with a contrasting polka-dot neckerchief, eye-catching Victoria Beckham sunglasses, a Bottega Veneta bag and ankle boots with pointed toes from Chloe.
While the moment was a telling indicator of her fashion acumen, the sequence of red carpet dresses she then turned out in (ivory Ralph and Russo tulle lehenga-esque gown, plunging Vera Wang) was next-level even for Sonam.
To cap off her whirlwind Cannes tour, Sonam left as fashionably as she first arrived. The newly-married star landed in Mumbai on Thursday wearing a slouchy pantsuit in a striking shade of powder pink. Sonam’s low-slung, wide-leg pant and matching structured blazer were thrown over a semi-sheer white crop top for a relaxed-meets-dressy look that was an effortlessly sexy match made in heaven.
Sonam’s roomy airport look came embellished with exaggerated black sunglasses, which read lazy-chic — a vibe that has become her travel style signature. Sonam’s handbag also tied in with statement sunglasses in a complementary black hue. A pair of clean all-white sneakers worked unexpectedly well with her sweet, ladylike separates for a très chic modern power dressing vibe. Now, that’s an outfit, we’re dying to try. It’s one of those super-unlikely outfit combinations that can be the most exciting (and satisfying).
Sonam’s sleek straight hair and limited accessories style tied the whole look together. A first-class finish, indeed.
