Sweden beat South Korea 1-0 in the second Group F match of the FIFA World CUP 2018 Group F match in Novgorod. The only goal of the game came courtesy a second half penalty, which was converted by Andreas Granqvist. The decision to award a penalty was the second instance of a penalty being awarded by Video Assistant Referee (VaR). Win for Sweden heaps further pressure on defending champions Germany who had lost 1-0 to Mexico in Group F’s opening game on Sunday.
