The Haryana government has released Rs. 375 crore in the last four months to all municipal corporations, municipal committees and municipal councils across the state for various development works, chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar said on Thursday.

Khattar was addressing an interactive conference of mayors, senior deputy mayors and deputy mayors of all nine municipal corporations in Chandigarh, where commissioners of municipal corporations were also present.
The CM said that efforts will be made to organise such a conference twice in a year.
He also inaugurated the new web portal of the urban local bodies department and online citizen services. This website provides information on various schemes and basic information of all 78 urban local bodies.
It also has provision for 14 online citizen centric services and citizens can directly apply on ulbharyana.gov.in.
He stressed the need for hassle-free, user-friendly and resultoriented web portals.
Khattar also said that a new scheme for rationalisation of house tax is underway.
Taking cognizance of complaints of slow pace of work of municipal corporations, he directed that file-tracking system should be implemented in all corporations.
