The administration has set a deadline for June 30 to clean all drains, nullahs and stormwater drains. Collective efforts initiated by all the concerned agencies two days ago showed some positive results on Tuesday morning as several areas were free from waterlogging. The agencies have desilted stormwater drains in Sushant Lok, DLF Phases, Subhash Chowk, Khandsa Road and several areas of old Gurgaon.

Residents, however, faced waterlogging in Palam Vihar, Sheetla Mata Road, Khandsa Road, Basai Road and on some service roads on the Delhi-Gurgaon expressway. The civic agency has also initiated work for laying down a new pipeline on Madanpuri Road.

In a review meeting on Friday, divisional commissioner D Suresh directed officers of the MCG and Huda to not leave the district headquarters without obtaining prior permission of the deputy commissioner during the monsoon season.

“Officials of the MCG and Huda are working even on holidays to make Gurgaon free from waterlogging this monsoon,” said a government spokesperson.

Joint commissioner Rohit Yadav is assisting MCG acting commissioner Satyaprakash in Zone 4. Likewise, SDM (north) Sushil Sarwan and MCG joint commissioner Vivek Kalia are looking after Zone 1. Additional deputy commissioner Vinay Pratap Singh and joint commissioner Anu are taking care of Zone 2. Additional MCG commissioner Amit Khatri and joint commissioner YS Gupta have been assigned Zone 3.

The district administration has also set up a flood control room that can be contacted on toll free number 1077. Information about water logging can also be given on phone numbers of the district revenue officer 0124-2322877 and 0124-2304444 or on phone numbers of the deputy commissioner 0124-2321144, 2325500, 2303333, 2320508. Residents can also inform about lack of drainage cleaning or flood prone areas on MCG’s toll free number 18001801817.
