In order to ensure uninterrupted power supply during summer and paddy season, Haryana power distribution companies will deploy a sub-divisional officer (SDO) in each circle to monitor electricity supply.
The discoms will set up a control room and depute one SDO to monitor implementation of power regulatory measures as per schedule and coordinate with other staff.
Simultaneously, one junior engineer (JE) will also be deployed with his team in each sub-division during night. In the event of disruption of power supply, corrective measures would be initiated by them immediately to avoid inconvenience to the consumers.
According to Devender Singh, chairman and managing director of two discoms--UHBVN and DHBVN-- the roaster of night shift duties for SDOs and junior engineers will be publicised through notice boards and media.
He said that the discoms have already set up 1,700 electricity complaint centres in the state. Responsibility of attending consumer complaints promptly had been assigned to lineman and assistant lineman of the villages. Instructions have been issued to arrange vehicles, cranes and other equipment for quick resolution of customers’ complaints.
Discoms have delegated work to field officers to augment the system and undertake emergency bifurcation / trifurcation of overloaded feeders and de-loading of distribution transformers wherever required.
Singh said that the maintenance work of 11KV feeder, including augmentation of lines, replacement of old conductors and trimming of trees, was being carried out on war footing to avoid disruption of power supply.
Instructions have been issued to address power supply complaints on top priority. Besides, all the complaints will be entered in the consumer grievances redresses system (CGRS) across the state.
The facility of call centre will be made available to the consumers of districts Panchkula, Ambala, Yamuna Nagar, Kaithal, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Panipat, Sonipat, Rohtak, Jhajjar and Jind. A call centre is already functioning in Gurgaon. Till now, complaints relating to the area of DHBVN were being lodged here.
