Eleven bikes parked illegally or outside malls in Gurugram stolen
Eleven motorcycles, worth Rs 8.2 lakh, were stolen in separate incidents from different parts of the city on Saturday and Sunday. The bikes were parked in unauthorised parking spaces or outside malls.
In the first case, two motorcycles were stolen from Sector 56 market on Saturday. Rahul Mishra, a resident of Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh, said his Hero Honda Splendor, as well as a bike belonging to another man, were stolen on Sunday afternoon. He said he had been lunching with some friends when his bike was stolen.
In the second incident, a Hero Honda Splendor was stolen from outside the Paras Hospital. A case was registered at the Sushant Lok-1 police station.
In the third incident, Sher Khan, a resident of Jharsa, said his bike was stolen from outside a bank on Golf Course Road in Sector 53. In the fourth case, the two-wheeler of Delhi resident Sumit Kumar was stolen on Sunday afternoon while he was visiting his friend in Sector 62.
Munesh Kumar, from Ashok Vihar, Phase-3 and Faizan Ali Khan, from Gurugram village, said their bikes were stolen while they were buying vegetables at a local market.
Sudish Kumar from Palam Vihar reported that he found his bike missing from outside his house on Sunday morning. Chander Bhishan, a Delhi resident, also lost his bike which he had parked outside Quantum Mall in Sector 49 on Saturday afternoon.Two more bike thefts were reported from Udyog Vihar and Shivaji Nagar police station areas.
“We have been asking commuters to park in designated spaces,”Anil Kumar, ACP (DLF), said.
