The assailants have been identified in the FIR as Muskan, Amit, Lovely, Sombir and Balraj. A case has been registered against them at the Sector 40 police station.

According to police officials, the complainant Kunal Malhotra said he works as an organiser at Elite Club on MG Road, where the woman identified as Muskan also works. In his complaint, he said that he knew Muskan for several years and was also acquainted with her friend Amit who lives in South City. He added that on May 18 he received a call from Amit, who told him that Muskan and Amit’s wife were fighting with each other at Amit’s house. He called Kunal to defuse the situation, the complaint stated.

The complaint added that Kunal went to Amit’s house where he saw the women arguing, but the matter was eventually resolved. However, according to the complaint, the next evening when Kunal was on his way to the club, he met Muskan at a market. She also was going to the club, but asked him to drop her home instead. Amit and three others were already present there when they reached her home, the complaint said.

According to Kunal, all those present started beating him up brutally with sticks and belts. Thereafter, Amit and Muskan abducted him in his Wagon R car and drove to Sohna Road.

However, at Subash Chowk the car hit a divider, bursting one of its tyres. They left the car there and went back to Muskan’s house where he was again beaten. One of the accused also said that they should kill him, the complainant alleged.

The complaint goes on to say that after some time, the accused took him in Balraj’s car and dumped him at Safdarjung Hospital when his condition worsened.

“A case has been registered under sections 323, 34, 342, 406, 506 of the IPC. The culprits will be nabbed as a team is investigating the matter,” said Sudhir Kumar, station house officer (SHO), Sector 40 police station.
