Holiday-goers from the Millennium City will no longer have to travel to ISBT in Delhi to catch a bus and can also book tickets online on the Haryana Roadways website.

Three new buses will start plying on the Amritsar and Shimla routes first.

“We are planning to connect the city with main tourist destinations in other states. The old buses on the Shimla route will also be replaced with luxury buses so that commuters get a comfortable journey,” said Yashendra Singh, general manager, Haryana Roadways (Gurgaon). He added that the recently launched luxury bus service to Chandigarh is already a hit. The new AC buses are equipped with facilities like LCD television screens and comfortable semi-sleeper seats.
